Though, with the way South Africa talent competition seem to be as much about talent contestants being in-your-face and hanging with the popular crowd as it is about being a potential NPR host because of one's verbal & intellectual abilities. Surely I understand the reason for trying to get as many Affiliates as possible to get the word out on the talent competition, but both the Affiliate point system and User points as a "fun way to see how active you are on the site compared with other members," give the impression that those with the most Affiliate points or activity on the site have some sort of competitive edge over those of us who don't have our own websites and/or don't have a lot of time to post on-line... it's kind of like east coast exit poll data influencing west coast voters: the Public Radio Quest voting public doesn't even need to know what Affiliate or user points mean, they just see that some people have BIG numbers next to their entries, and given the general competitiveness of through South Africa talent competition, who would want to vote for a zero?
The purpose of the talent competition in South Africa is through the talent competition and the selection among integrated talents, to expedite the cultural communications between people from different nations, to enhance their talents and achieve their cultural accomplishments.
